EEOC Mediation regarding racial harment..what to ask for?

I was employed by a non-profit in Texas for almost a year. During this time, on SEVERAL occasions, I was told by my employer all sorts of snide racial remarks. He even used a racially derogatory term once. I have two witnesses to a few of the occurences. I told him it wasn't funny, yet it continued. Even after apologizing once, he said something ELSE using a horrible term for Hispanics the following week. He also had magazines of naked women sent to the office and once I was told to do some work in his office. When I went in, there was a magazine sitting right there at the edge of a desk. Very inappropriate. He made racial remarks about my toddler son as well. I actually cried in the copy room once over his remarks. He even REPEATED the remarks to my direct supervisor. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and quit. My former employer has agreed to mediation and I figure it couldn't hurt to go. I really dont want my job back but I dont know what to ask for as far as monetary amounts go.

Alright. I have been beating myself up over this for the past couple months because I dont know what to do. I aired out my as much as I could, so they could heal. Try Lansinoh for your , and that should help. I know it is painful, just keep at it. Try a nipple shield if it helps to ease the pain. My daughter has done this a few times. its pretty scary. just keep and eye on her and make sure she doesnt develop a cough, fever or any wheezing over the next few days. it can be an issue if she got a bit in her lungs and caused an infection. but this really isnt common if it was just a little bit. she was crying directly after which is a good sign. that means she didnt get much at all if any ion her lungs. most likely she got it down her throat and either swallowed it or coughed it up. as i said just watch for coughing, wheezing or a fever over the next few day. if she doesnt develop these she will be fine. my guess is she wont and she is perfectly fine. babies fo this all the time. it will happen to every baby at least once in the first few months.

Let me preface this by saying that I don't hate this country and don't want to see harm come to it, so please no bs comments. So: I have a really well paying job and am incredibly accomplished in many aspects of my life. People here only seem to care about money, buying things, constantly filling their schedules with pointless activities, and really it all seems incredibly stupid. I really feel like this was not the point of life. Therefore, I'm thinking of just selling off all my things, taking out my savings, 401k, etc., bidding farewell to family and friends and taking off to S.America or SE Asia or a remote island with a small population, basically as far away from modern civilization as possible. I've traveled to those locales and people seem so much more relaxed and more focused on living life. Has anyone thought of this before, any tips?

Thyroidism, any kind, doesn't cause swollen hands. I have Hypo and I never had that problem. It may be something else, and you should go consult a doctor if it starts becoming a problem. It may be that you are dehydrated, I had that happen only once when I went out running during the summer for hours without water... Theres is this guy i was seeing 3 years ago on a casual basis i guess because at the time the issue of me been the older one and having two kids kinda frightened him! Well... this is a bit of a shock. I'm now at 8dpo and have been charting my cycles with fertilityfriend, this morning I took a HPT just because I could, lol. I have actually been getting pregnancy symptoms, but I wasn't actually planning on testing for another week at least, but I had heaps of pregnancy tests and just felt like it. Proper way to enter a median?

I was pulling onto the highway a few minutes ago and pulled onto the left side of the median. A state trooper was apparently nearby and pulled in beside me and motioned to roll down my window, asked me why I did that, to which I had no answer. He told me he could give me a ticket for driving on the wrong side of the road. He then did the typical "pull over" routine, looked at my plate, asked for my license, insurance, etc. He didn't give me a ticket but acted very agitated. So now I'm confused. From what I can find online, nothing dictates a "right" and "wrong side of the median. I've seen my dad do it his entire life, along with people everyday, and I have too ever since I got my license. So is it actually a ticketable offense, or was he just pulling me over so he could look at my papers in hopes he could ticket me for that?

Ok, I dreamt that I was at my family's home in the country. We were having a birthday party for my brother, and we needed something from town. My mother and I got in the car and started driving down the highway and I saw a very bright flash on the horizon followed by a line of bright super-explosions that very quickly came toard us. Books with similar themes to those of Treasure Island?

I am going to be doing what appears to be a fairly lengthy research paper in my 10th grade English cl connecting three books to each other. The first book I read was Treasure Island. I read Holes for my second book and found it had very little in common with Treasure Island, so I will probably be reading two more books. Does anyone have any suggestions for books that do not necessarily have similar plot lines to Treasure Island but have similar thematic elements? The only two themes I could come up with were "coming of age" and "betrayal", but I would definitely be open to other themes. I have to find literary criticisms on the books I read, so I would prefer books that are either extremely popular or old enough that they have aculated a sufficient amount of criticisms over time. Also, because Treasure Island was very difficult to read because of the era in which it was written, it would be nice for my other two books to be a little easier to read (i.e. I don't want to read any Shakespeare). Two books I was considering reading were the Count of Monte Cristo and the Kite Runner.

I have anxiety. It's hard for me to make friends. I sat by myself for like the first one and a half semesters... I finally find a group of people that say I can sit by them. And recently I guess they've decided they're too cool or something and when I sat at their table on Friday, they all got up and left in sequence. You don't even know how bad that feels for me... Some Advice/ Tips Please?

The book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" is really helpful when it comes to getting to know your body and taking advantage of natural signs your body gives you to let you know when is the best time to have and get pregnant. Which one would get rid of a zit/pimple (on my cheek, it's big, red and really noticable so it's a pain in the , well face) faster, better, more effectively? I admit to touching the pimple once or twice and it got worse so I really need to find a way to get rid of it... So which would you recommend?
