How can I remove someone's name from my Texas car title?

I recently was in an accident and the other person's insurance decided to total out my car. They need all owners of the vechile to sign off on the title. I have the title, but it has my name and the co-signer on it. Problem is, its been so long I have no idea where he is or if he is even alive. He moved like 10 yrs ago. Now I don't know what to do cause the insurance is demanding both signatures. Is there any way in the state of Texas that I can remove his name from the title? If so, how? Please help!!
