Am in Colombia, and I called a friend back in NY, using the Magic Jack, should she get charged anything?

She told me she got charged for the calls, and she has AT&T. Does AT&T charge extra? And also small note, i text her from my iPod Touch and am wondering if that's extra also if its international Texting. (She has unlim texting plan)
