Can somebody please explain to me what a time paradox is?!?

The best way to explain it is by an example. Imagine yourself going back in time and killing your Grandfather, therefore eliminating the existence of one of your parents, leading to you not existing. If that be the case, you would not be able to do what you just did. Get it? Got it? Good!
