Your girlfriend, if she loves you, would accept your friend as a part of your life. Until you or your platonic friend give her a reason to be jealous, your girlfriend should be more tolerant. You cannot simply turn off a friendship to placate a jealous girlfriend, and you should not. Girlfriends come and go but real friends are special.
