Can i return my ps3 for a new one?

so my ps has been giving me asome problems recently (80gb). It has been freezing on serveral games and it has also been pretty loud (ive vaed several times and the system is not overheating) my warrenty is still not over so i can use it. if i do will they send me a refurbished version or can i actually get a bran NEW one.
